About the contest
The project Photogenic science was initiated by the collective Fórum Věda žije! with aim to organise yearly photographic contest for employees of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The output of the project is a representative calendar with selected photographs and an exhibition Photogenic science, which will be presented not only in Prague but also at other places in Czech republic and abroad.
The contest helps to present CAS as a whole and besides the popularization with respect to general audience it should also emphasize identitification of the employees with the brand of CAS.

Fifth year of the contest starts
This year the contest is opened in three contest categories: apart from the main category is Photogenic science you can submit your photos also in category Scientific selfie. On the occasion of 100 years since the formation of the Czechoslovak state we have decided to introduce the third category Czecoslovakia by scientists which is opened to the general photography produced by the employees of the Czech Academy of Sciences. You can upload your photos until 23:59 15.6. 2018

Photogenic science exhibition in Slovakia
Apart from the exhibition in Taiwan, a collection of contest photographs was on display in Bratislava in the Primate's palace. This exhibition was realized in collaboration with Slovak Academy of Sciences and the city council of Bratislava.

Traveling exhibition based on best photos of one of the past years of the contest has been presented in the Republic of China.

Fourth year of the contest launched
You can submit photos in categories Photogenic science and scientists in photography (maximum 3 photos per category). The deadline is set to 15.6. 2017. Winners will be awarded by valuable prices and the outcome of the contest will be the official calendar of CAS for 2018 and an exhibition.
